Job Center Today

The mission of the Job Center is to serve as a resource for labor-market exchange and workforce development while providing individuals and families with financial, medical, and other support services essential to strengthening the quality of life.

  • The Job Center is the largest one-stop employment and training center in the United States. This public/private partnership is made up of forty-seven organizations housed in an eight and a half acre facility.
  • The Center has been internationally recognized for it's ability to bring employers, educators, and social service agencies together to deal with workforce development issues.
  • The forty-seven organizations, lead by the center director, Dr. Gary Williamson, forms a partnership that enables decisions to be made in a collaborative manner.
  • The half million customers coming to the Job Center each year provide thousands of local employers access to a large pool of skilled and professional workforce. That in turn gives a job seeker access to thousands of job postings at one site .. the Job Center.
  • The Job Bank is the hub of the Center. Employment consultants are there to help anyone in need of job search resources. From entry level jobs to VP's of companies, the Job Center is there for everyone in the community. Free internet access, free phones, and free resume services are just some of the potential services for everyone.
